That’s what I call personal service!

We had some friends come and visit last weekend.  Very old friends – old as in we’ve known them a very long time, not old as in ancient.  Anyway, they were en route to Mexico via Gatwick and us, having driven down from Lincolnshire.  We decided that we would take them to The Emperor in Hersham village, which I think is the best Chinese restaurant around here, both value for money-wise and food-wise.   We had a fabulous, greedy evening (all you can eat for £17 – wow!) and so did many, many other people as the place was really, really busy.  We thought we would have a long wait but the service was first class and our food arrived fast and hot!

But where was Gus, the guv’nor?  I thought he would be at his new gaff in Ascot, but it turns out he spent his evening in the kitchen, cooking the starters!  Needless to say we were even more impressed.  Now that’s what I call personal service!
