12th November George Huxley’s Jazz Band – Jazz & Beer, 12.15pm at the Riverhouse Barn, Walton, KT12 2PF. A renowned exponent of the soprano saxophone, George Huxley leads this excellent band. Based in the Midlands, but always popular at the Barn, they make their annual visit to Walton. 01932 253354.

13th November Hersham Christmas Shopping Market  at Hersham Sports and Social Club, 128 Hersham Road, KT12 5QL. 7-10pm. Free entrance, ample parking and licensed bar.

14th November to 26th November Nicky Browne and Tessa Charles at The Fountain Gallery (26 Bridge Rd, Hampton Court, East Molesey, KT8 9HA). 15th November Music on the Green Lunchtime Concert, Christ Church, Esher. Buck Brass Trio. Originating from London’s Royal Academy of Music the trio is now recognised as one of the leading brass ensembles in the UK. Their busy perfomance schedule has seen them welcomed at many prestigious venues, including London’s Guildhall, St James’s Piccadilly and Southwark Cathedral. 22nd November to 26th November Christmas Craft Fair at Wisley RHS Gardens. 22-25 Nov: 9am-6pm. Last entry 5pm. 26 Nov: 9am-4:30pm. Last entry 3:30pm. Visit the popular Christmas Craft Fair at Wisley and you’ll be able to browse and buy from some of the finest craftmakers in the country. With both traditional and contemporary crafts available, it’s the ideal place to find festive delights. The fair will take place within the beautiful surroundings of the garden. Normal admission applies, RHS Members and guest go free. Last entry one hour before closing.

25th November Walton-on-Thames Festival of Lights An amazing all-day event in Walton town centre, ending with the Festival of Light parade and the switching on of the Christmas lights, launching the Christmas Shopping season. 26th November Santa is coming to town! Come and greet him as he makes his grand arrival at 10am at both Squire’s Cobham and Squire’s Hersham.Santa will be arriving in style in his unique vehicle, and will greet his excited audience before opening his free festive grotto where he will be handing out presents!

8th December to 10th December BBC Good Food’s Festive Feast at Hampton Court Palace. The palace courtyards will be transformed into a stunning festive food lover’s wonderland, full of delicious artisan food and drink and inspiring seasonal cookery demonstrations. Eat, drink and be merry, all whilst soaking up the atmosphere and spirit of the season, with sing-along festive classics on the Courtyard Bandstand and carol singing by local choirs. 8  & 9 December, 10:00-19:00. 10 December, 10:00-16:30. Entry to the Festive Feast is included in your Hampton Court Palace admission ticket and free for members.

13th December Torchlight Tour Christmas Special at Brooklands Museum. 6pm – 9.30pm. Join us for a Christmas behind-the-scenes tour round the Museum. Your guide will show you the darker side of the Museum and unearth some of its eerie past by torchlight! Adult tickets for this Christmas Special include a 2 course meal, with a Mince Pie and a glass of Mulled Wine. Tickets for children include a main meal and a dessert and Mince Pie.
