Tuesday 26th November to Sunday 8th December Anniversary Exhibition at the Fountain Gallery (26 Bridge Rd, Hampton Court, East Molesey, KT8 9HA). Join us for an exciting exhibition of outstanding paintings, prints ceramics and textiles by Fountain Gallery artists to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Tuesday 3rd December Molesey and District Antiques Society: Art Deco. The international movement started in France before the First World War. Artist and lecturer, Mark Lewis, explains how the movement developed and how it still affects many aspects of our lives today. Meeting at Imber Court, East Molesey at 8p.m. Members free, guests £7. Thursday 5th December Walton & Weybridge Flower Club. St Andrews Church Hall, doors open 1.30 for 2.00 start and the demonstrator is Gill Smaggasgale. The title of her demonstration is “Have You Ever Stopped to Wonder”. We meet monthly on the first Thursday of the month. Friday 6th December Hersham Village Market. Come to buy local food that’s delicious and fresh, free range eggs, hand crafted gifts and cards, or home grown plants and flowers. Friday 6th December Surrey Blues Club at Hersham Sports & Social Club, 128 Hersham Road, KT12 5QL. A great evening of Blues music from The Surrey Blues Club Band and guest band The Good Old Boys. No Admission Charge, No Membership required. All welcome, music from 8.45pm.

Saturday 7th December Walton Voices present “A Winter’s Night” with new compositions, old favourites and traditional carols. 7pm at St Paul’s Church, Church Road, East Molesey KT8 9DR. Raising money for Lifelites, a charity which gives life-limited and disabled children in hospices opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have, through the magic of assistive technology.
Saturday 7th December to Sunday 5th January Christmas Glow at Wisley RHS Gardens (Wisley Lane, GU23 6QB). Wander the enchanting trail to see dazzling light installations themed around the four seasons – from spring daffodils along Jellicoe Canal to snowdrops on Seven Acres. The Glow event starts at 4pm. Sunday 8th December Christmas pine pull on Esher Common. Organised by the Elmbridge Council countryside team. Drop-in 10.30am-2.30pm. Help the Countryside Team pull pine to restore the heathland and choose your own table top mini Christmas tree to take home. Festive craft activities for children. Tuesday 10th December Veterans Support Association support and outreach meeting. From 10am-4pm. Veterans and families drop in with several service charities in attendance offering advice and support all day. Venue: 3rd Molesey Scout Hut, St Peters Road, West Molesey, KT8 2QE. All veterans and families welcome. Free tea, coffee, biscuits and free brunch. Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Thursday 12th December Bereavement Café plus new monthly walk & talk for bereaved people. Taking place every 2nd Thursday of the month 12.30pm-2pm at St Mary’s Café at St Mary’s Church, East Molesey, KT8 0ST. The new walk and talk involves a gentle stroll for about an hour, before returning to the Café for refreshments. Saturday 14th December Fidelo: The Opera. 7pm-10pm. Conway Hall, London. Slightly further afield, but worth the trip to London! As a fitting end to a manic first year of existence, the Fidelio Orchestra will be putting on a production of its namesake – Beethoven’s opera Fidelio – in the intimate setting of Conway Hall. Wednesday 18th December Music on the Green – Come and Sing Carols. Enter into the true spirit of Christmas and join us in singing your favourite carols to our musical accompaniment. The carols will be interspersed with humorous and reflective readings to enhance this popular seasonal community event. Doors open 12.30pm. Free entry. Mince pies and mulled wine will be served. Wednesday 18th December to Monday 23rd December A Christmas Carol by Apollo Theatre. Following their sell-out production of The Snow Queen, Apollo Theatre Company return to Riverhouse with this brand-new adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic Christmas tale, a charming and beautiful story guaranteed to entertain the whole family. Friday 17th January Jazz at Imber Court. A first class quintet led by two giants from the UK jazz world – Jim Mullen with his strong blues influenced guitar playing and Henry Lowther, one of the very finest trumpet and flugelhorn players. Versatile Gareth Williams on keyboard, virtuoso double bass player Paul Morgan and innovative percussionist Sebastiaan de Krom provide the sterling rhythm section.
