Saturday 1st February Don’t Go Into the Cellar presents Strictly Sherlock. Join the king of the detectives as he brings to life those three startling cases, The Sussex Vampire, The Creeping Man and The Devil’s Foot! Sunday 2nd February Story Cafe – Peace at Last at the Riverhouse Barn, Walton-on-Thames, KT12 2PF. 3.30pm. Bring a cushion and cuddly toy to our creative storytelling events. enjoy crafty projects, themed activities and a tea-time treat! Tickets at www.thelittleboxoffice.com. Tickets £4 (age 3+) / £2 (age 2 and under) includes drink and teatime treat. Children must be supervised, Adult supervisors go free and refreshments are available to purchase in the cafe.

Tuesday 4th February Vocality Singing Choir Rehearsals. Tuesdays 8-10pm in Claygate. Vocality presents an inclusive and welcoming environment, singing an exciting variety of music in unaccompanied harmony. Free trial sessions available. Tuesday 4th February to Sunday 16th February Stephanie Wilkinson at the Fountain Gallery (26 Bridge Rd, Hampton Court, East Molesey, KT8 9HA). Stephanie creates colourful semi-abstract paintings, gorgeous fabric and practical homeware inspired by recent visit to Uzbekistan, Georgia and Armenia. Thursday 6th February Walton & Weybridge Flower Club. The demonstrator is Ellana Bracken, with theme “The Shortest Month”. We meet monthly on the first Thursday of the month. Friday 7th February Hersham Village Market. Come to buy local food that’s delicious and fresh, free range eggs, hand crafted gifts and cards, or home grown plants and flowers. Open every Friday, 10.30am until 12 noon. Admission free. All Saints Church Hall, Queens Road, Hersham, KT12 5LT (Opposite Hersham Green).

Friday 7th February Surrey Blues Club at Hersham Sports & Social Club, 128 Hersham Road, KT12 5QL. A great evening of Blues music from The Surrey Blues Club Band and guest band The Ali Mac Band. No Admission Charge, No Membership required. All welcome, music from 8.30pm.

Saturday 8th February Children’s Theatre – Noisy Oyster presents Dangerous Dave. Dangerous Dave, infinitely more ‘daft’ than ‘dangerous’, and his ridiculous sidekick, Herbert Lemon, present some of the most mind-bindingly silly stunts ever performed! Cash bar. Sunday 9th February Lucky Dip Disco at the Riverhouse Barn, Walton-on-Thames, KT12 2PF. A retro disco party for children under 7, with their grown-ups. Bubbles, lights, games and musical mayhem! Award winning DJ, Janek Schaefer, returns with his retro Disco for children and their adults to dance together. Pre-booking is essential to avoid disappointed kids! Tuesday 11th February Veterans Support Association support and outreach meeting. From 10am-4pm. Veterans and families drop in with several service charities in attendance offering advice and support all day. Venue: 3rd Molesey Scout Hut, St Peters Road, West Molesey, KT8 2QE. All veterans and families welcome. Free tea, coffee, biscuits and free brunch. Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Thursday 13th February Bereavement Café plus walk & talk for bereaved people. Taking place every 2nd Thursday of the month 12.30pm-2pm at St Mary’s Café at St Mary’s Church, East Molesey, KT8 0ST. The new walk and talk involves a gentle stroll for about an hour, before returning to the Café for refreshments. Friday 14th February Phoebe Gorry presents a Valentine’s Day Special. This exclusive concert is a perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day – expect to hear unique renditions of all your favourite jazz and soul love songs. Phoebe will be joined by her live band made up of some of the most in demand musicians working on the UK jazz and sessions scenes, including special guest Saxophonist Duncan eagles. 8pm. Saturday 15th February to Sunday 23rd February Half Term – Whatever the Weather at RHS Garden Wisley. Enjoy a range of fun all-weather activities at RHS Garden Wisley and discover more about the wild weather of the UK. Garden trail, craft and planting activities. There will also be storytelling at the weekends and a special tour of the Wisley Weather Station on Thursday 20 February. Normal garden admission applies. Monday 17th February to Friday 21st February Create & Grow at Squires Garden Centres (Hersham, Shepperton and more – see www.squiresgardencentres.co.uk for all locations). 10am-4pm. Keep the little ones busy this half term at this drop in event – daily activities from 10am to 4pm. Paint a Ceramic Bird Feeder to help attract wild birds to your garden this spring – £4.75. Spring Hunt Competition – look for clues around the centre to help find the magic word and be in with a chance to win a prize – free. Spring Flower Maze – help Hazel the squirrel complete the paper maze and receive a sticker – free. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No booking required.

Tuesday 18th February to Sunday 1st March Liz Bernard at the Fountain Gallery (26 Bridge Rd, Hampton Court, East Molesey, KT8 9HA). Wednesday 19th February Music on the Green Lunchtime Concert. Dramma Per Musica early music ensemble presents “Brittons Greats”. Performing both in the UK and Internationally and on BBC3 the Dramma Per Musica’s goals are clear. The group seeks the drama which is only available through music, that confluence of emotion and reason through sound and language. Free entry and light lunch from 12.30pm. Concert from 1.10pm. Wednesday 26th February to Sunday 5th April #Love Hersham. During Lent Hersham churches are working together to show love to the community in Hersham by taking on a series of social action projects with a target of 500 hours of serving the community.
