Tuesday 1st October to Sunday 13th October Liz Bernard at the Fountain Gallery (26 Bridge Rd, Hampton Court, East Molesey, KT8 9HA). Exhibiting with Geoff Thiel. Liz’s mixed media and acrylic paintings, rich in texture with vibrant colours. Alongside Geoff’s colourful crystalline porcelain and raku smoke-fired pieces. Thursday 3rd October Walton & Weybridge Flower Club monthly meeting. Watch floral demonstrations and more. Held first Thursday of the month at St Andrews Church Hall, Hersham Rd, KT12 1LG, doors open from 1.30pm for 2.00pm start. Further information available from 01932 228214.

Friday 4th October Hersham Village Market. Come to buy local food that’s delicious and fresh, free range eggs, hand crafted gifts and cards, or home grown plants and flowers. Open every Friday from 11.45am to 1.15pm. Admission free. All Saints Church Hall (Opposite Hersham Green).

Friday 4th October Surrey Blues Club at Hersham Sports & Social Club, 128 Hersham Road, KT12 5QL. A great evening of Blues music from The Surrey Blues Club Band and guest band The Nigel Bagge Band. No admission charge, no membership required. All welcome, music from 8.30pm.

Saturday 5th October Opera Holloway presents La Boheme at the Vera Fletcher Hall. Sunday 6th October Lucky Dip Disco. A retro disco party for children under 7, with their grown-ups. Bubbles, lights, games, musical mayhem! Award winning DJ, Janek Schaefer, returns with his retro Disco for children and their adults to dance together. Pre-booking is essential to avoid disappointed kids! Thursday 10th October Bereavement Café plus new monthly walk & talk for bereaved people. Taking place every 2nd Thursday of the month 12.30pm-2pm at St Mary’s Café at St Mary’s Church, East Molesey, KT8 0ST. The new walk and talk involves a gentle stroll for about an hour, before returning to the Café for refreshments. Friday 11th October Kick in the Head presents Choice Grenfell at the Vera Fletcher Hall. A celebration of the  great, unremittingly genteel comedian and monologist.
